The movies, the television shows, the soap operas, the news, the media.
They all tell of a "wonderful" place.
But let's be realistic, we all know of something called propaganda. Also similar words like advertisement and commercial, nevertheless, its all the same.
As you know, propaganda is often one-sided, or shows only the GOOD but fails to show the BAD, or negative things.
Let us look at the definition here:
Propaganda (n.) - A form of communication that is aimed at influencing the attitude of a community toward some cause or position.
Truth be told, propaganda, commercial, advertisement, have different definitions but are basically the same thing.
So, by DEFINITION, would'nt the American Media be considered propaganda?
That they have influenced virtually the attitude of the whole world, including China, that this one-sided place called America, is actually how they say it is? I find it very interesting how they fail to mention that only the capitalist class, and the upper middle class live this "american dream" and feed off everybody else. Only 16% of America lives this life. And that's an economic fact.
The rest are subjected to class hatred, crime, violence, and family dysfunction. I have lived through this 20 and counting years, and I'm just a middle class American. I would hate to be the working class, or even worse, the under class, especially in America. Those 3 classes, I think, they will never really show to the world. Because they want everyone to think that we actually live "the life".
So, what's your opinion?
