"Coney Island"

Summer, shiny summer. Hot and glaring sun.

Everything is filled with vitality.

Everything is more brilliant than the usual.

The sound of wave's surge and returning.

The laughter of children beating on the water.

The sea glitter reflecting the sunlight.

The fishy smell of the tide is not familiar for me,

but that is good today.

Suddenly, I hear a scream in the distance.

Ah, I see colorful rides.

A roller coaster roar, a swing circle high in the sky.

I close my eyes, then I turn my thoughts

toward people who stay beyond the sea.

The horizon may continue permanently.

But where has my beautiful summer gone?

I do nothing but only miss the short season.

My ice cream has just melted.
